Flooring

Destination Green’s WPC flooring is a bio-composite T&G (tongue-and-groove) flooring that combines the warm appearance of natural teak with the stability and durability of a wood-plastic composite. Made from recycled teak dust and recycled HDPE at our own factory in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, our bio-composite flooring is dimensionally stable, needs minimal maintenance, and suits both interior and semi-outdoor spaces where solid teak flooring would otherwise need regular sanding and refinishing.

Material & Installation

Like the rest of our WPC range, our flooring is made from a blend of recycled teak dust and A-grade recycled HDPE, giving the boards 80% recycled content, of which 70% is organic teak dust, and making the finished flooring 100% recyclable. The tongue-and-groove profile lets boards click together for quick installation, without the gaps or movement that can develop in solid timber flooring over time. Our bio-composite has also been independently tested by SHR Testing Center in the Netherlands against natural teak, and outperformed it on water resistance, UV weathering, hardness and wear resistance. Every Destination Green flooring order is backed by our 10-year limited warranty against rot, splitting, splintering and structural damage from fungal decay or termites under normal use.

Profile

Our WPC T&G flooring is supplied in a 215 x 30 mm tongue-and-groove profile, and is available in several colors to match a project’s interior design. The same profile is used whether the flooring is going into a fully enclosed room or a covered semi-outdoor space such as a veranda or sales pavilion.

Made In Our Own Factory

We have been producing bio-composite flooring under our own brand, manufactured by PT Roma Export, for more than 15 years, with all mixing, extrusion and assembly done at our own factory in Yogyakarta. The teak dust used in our flooring is sourced as a waste by-product from local furniture manufacturers, so no trees are cut to produce it, and combined with recycled HDPE it gives our flooring a high recycled content without giving up the natural look of teak. Because the material is extruded rather than milled from solid wood, every board comes out with the same profile and finish, batch after batch.

Where Our Flooring Has Been Used

Destination Green T&G flooring has been installed on projects including our own Mila Villa modular villas at the Metes and Bibis project sites, the S.A.B.A office in Sanur, and the Dervish Sales Office in Ubud.
