WPC Decking

Destination Green’s WPC decking is a bio-composite decking material made from recycled teak dust and recycled HDPE, combining the natural look of teak with the low-maintenance durability of a wood-plastic composite (WPC). Manufactured at our own factory in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, our bio-composite decking is built for tropical outdoor use around pools, terraces and walkways: it resists rot, insects and splintering, and needs no sanding, oiling or re-staining once installed. We supply our WPC decking both fully installed by our team and in Do-It-Yourself form, complete with the fixings and accessories needed to finish the job.

Material & Composition

Our bio-composite decking is made from teak dust combined with recycled HDPE and performance additives. The teak dust is factory waste, collected from furniture manufacturers in Yogyakarta and other parts of Java, so no trees are cut to produce it; the HDPE comes from recycling initiatives. In total, the material is 80% recycled content, of which 70% is organic teak dust, with the remaining share made up of additives for consistency, color and feel. The finished decking is 100% recyclable. Our bio-composite has also been independently tested by SHR Testing Center in the Netherlands against natural teak, outperforming it on water resistance, UV weathering, hardness and wear resistance.

Made In Our Own Factory

We have been producing bio-composite decking under our own brand, manufactured by PT Roma Export, for more than 15 years, with all mixing, extrusion and assembly done at our own factory in Yogyakarta. Each profile is extruded — pushed through a mold under high heat and pressure — which lets us produce boards to the lengths a project needs and keeps the material consistent from batch to batch. We believe this makes our WPC decking a more environmentally responsible choice than natural timber for pool decks, terraces and walkways, without giving up the durability those applications demand.

Profiles & Colors

We produce our WPC decking in several grooved and flat profiles — Decking Small Grooves, Decking 8 Grooves and Decking 7 Grooves (145 x 23-25 mm), plus a 145 x 25 mm flat profile — and in ten colors, including Cedar Red, Rosewood Red, Yellow Balau, Natural Maple, Siam Teak, Teak Brown, Brown Oak, Coffee Brown, Rustic Teak Grey and Ebony Grey, so the deck can be matched to a project’s design.

Installation & Accessories

To complete a WPC deck we supply installation clips, composite joist rails and glulam teak joists, plus border stones and lighting. Our installation clips lock each board in place while allowing it to move with temperature changes, and remove the need to drill into the decking itself; once installed, the clips are barely visible. Joist rails and glulam teak joists are supplied in a standard 40 x 20 mm profile and 2700 mm length to build the substructure the decking sits on.

Where Our Decking Has Been Used

Destination Green WPC decking has been installed as pool decks, terraces and walkways on projects across Indonesia and abroad, including Innside Hotel and Grand Keisha Hotel in Yogyakarta, Escape Nomade and Beach Walk in Bali, Aston Beach Hotel in Anyer, the Meridian Dive Resort in Raja Ampat, Jakarta Intercultural School, Santika Bintaro in Jakarta, Museum Song Terus in Pacitan, and private residences in Yogyakarta, Sukabumi, Cannes and Den Bosch in the Netherlands. Additional decking has also gone into Umah D’Kali in Kasongan, Yats Colony in Yogyakarta, BVilla in Bali, Queen of the South in Yogyakarta, and residential balconies and pool decks from Yogyakarta to Sukabumi. Across hotels, resorts, schools and private homes, the same bio-composite decking system holds up to daily foot traffic, pool chemicals and constant sun exposure.
